There is much injustice in the world, so, as a group, we decided to shine a light on these issues. Crimes against humanity range from modern-day slavery, anarchism, human trafficking, to the current dilemma going on in Venezuela. These justice issues are important, because problems that go on across the world affect us or our own country one way or another. Educating ourselves and others prevents similar crimes from reoccurring in the future, putting a stop to the current injustices we face today. As students at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in the heart of New York City, we have a strong concern for international justice issues. Living in such a diverse area, we get to experience different cultures and their customs and become more empathetic to world issues. These issues pertain to anyone; although someone may not be experiencing injustice, the entire international community is affected. |
