Human Sex Trafficking by Nicole
Human sex trafficking is a serious issue that is not very well known. Yes people have seen the famous movie, ‘Taken,’ and have seen how it may occur, but these Hollywood films don’t show the true horrifying aspects. They show how the victims are taken unwillingly, kidnapped even, but they don’t show the even more horrible abuse these victims undergo. The type of abuse sex trafficking victims face ranges from beatings, rapes, and forced abortions to emotional abuse. Sex trafficking victims sometimes disappear from their loved one’s lives and not many of them are rescued. Sex trafficking needs to become a more well-known issue; people should take this situation more seriously because this is just forced prostitution. Many people may think ‘oh they got themselves into that mess they can get themselves out.’ But that is not always the case; nothing is ever as it seems.
Modern-Day Slavery by Stephanie
If you are someone who believes that slavery ended in the United States in 1865, you are mistaken. Modern-day slavery occurs every single day and in many different forms. Those who fall victim to slavery are forced to work in dangerous and threatening conditions with no compensation and are essentially unable to walk away. Many people are uninformed about slavery, because they simply think it does not exist anymore, but it very well does and if more people took the time to realize this, it could be stopped. What we also do not realize is that some of our most common goods come from slave labor. In other words, we indirectly or even unintentionally support the matter. All it takes to stop modern-day slavery is education and a world community that is willing to do its part. My job here is to educate you on the facts of modern-day slavery and how you could get involved.

My job is not to brainwash you, but to help you understand that we don’t need to be Venezuelan to feel their agony and that this is situation that could happen in any of your countries. My job is to open your eyes and show you the true reality of Venezuela now.

Anarchism by Sinjin
Anarchism can be loosely defined as a “social philosophy which aims at the emancipation; economic, social, political, and spiritual, of the human race.” (Emma Goldman) In the simplest terms, no one is your master and no one is your slave. Many average people misconstrue the term “anarchy” as chaos, mayhem, disorder, violence, no disincentive for bad behavior, no such thing as right and wrong, no cooperation or organization (survival of the fittest), and no protection from thugs or foreign invaders (every man for himself). However this is not the case.
